Q |  How much will the assessment cost?
A |  It depends on the exact type of service required.  Please contact us for a schedule of fees. 

Q |  Is the fee subsidised by Medicare?
A |  No.  Sessions for treatment with a Clinical Psychologist may be partially subsidised by Medicare, but assessments by Psychologists are not. 

Q |  Will the fee be covered by my private health insurance?
A |  Insurance companies vary with respect to the level of reimbursement for neuropsychological assessments. Please contact your insurer for details of your policy. You will be provided with an invoice and receipt that you may submit to your insurance company.

Q |  Will the results be confidential?
A |  Yes.  You will choose who receives the results of the assessment and a copy of the report.  According to the Code of Ethics of the Australian Psychological Society, Psychologists are compelled to breach confidentiality: if they believe you pose a harm to yourself or others; if they believe a child or an elder is being abused, neglected, or molested; or if they are directed by a court of law.

Q |  Can my regular doctor be informed of the results?
A |  Yes.  With your consent a copy of the report can be sent to your GP, neurologist, psychiatrist, geriatrician or other specialist. 

Q |  What do I need to bring to the assessment?
A | You will require your reading glasses, hearing aid, list of current medications, any relevant medical documents and results of previous neuropsychological assessments if available.
